It's truly a bummer when you think you've found a cure and it fails you. I really thought the Wellbutrin was doing the job. Then I found out it was caffeine. Then I tried to get off the caffeine. Apparently it takes longer than two days. I was so hopeful yesterday when I woke up feeling great. Then, at about 4, the ceiling crashed on my head. Thank goodness for Treximet. The day before I went to bed with a horrible headache but I couldn't do it two days in a row. I just can't do it to David or Dana. I feel horrible when that happens.
So that's why I haven't written until today. I woke up today feeling headachey so Dana and I went to the Simi Valley Mall and I power walked for 20 minutes. I felt better. Dana played on the climbing animals. She even climbed through the tunnel! That was a first. When we got home, I felt the pressure coming again. So I had half a coke. I knew that if I didn't, I wasn't going to have a chance. Now that Dana is in bed, I can say I'm ok and it worked. So that was 17g of caffeine. I can't believe I'm stuck on that little.
Dana is repeating my words now. It's finally time that I be careful. She calls Big Bird, "Booby." She counts 2-2-2. But then she points to apple in the big book of words and says "apple." This almost 20 month old is so bright. She has a sense of humor, knows how to mock, and picks up on words so quickly. Tonight I asked her if she wanted peas with dinner and she just kept saying "peas" for the next 30 minutes. She has learned how to say "help" and actually knows what it means....and uses it! She says "read" with authority. I love it when she says "fish." It sounds like "wish." And tree is "tee." And I love singing the Bye Bye song from My Gym and her saying "hooray" at the end.
Don't get me wrong. She is still a testy toddler. Tantruming when she can although not getting away with it. I'm sure once she can talk more, she'll get past the testy part. She has to! I know it will make my life better. Might even help the headaches.
So the Republican National Convention is on and I can't believe the crap I'm hearing. Apparently the economy is great and just because McCain was a POW, he should be elected. And Sarah Palin? Ugh.... enough is enough!
