It's been awhile

So tonight I sit here without a headache. I know the night is young but it's the FIRST time in a long time that I haven't needed an imitrex or had a headache when Dana went to bed. The last week has been all headache, all the time.

Several things have happened since I last wrote. I saw a psychiatrist that was recommended by my therapist so that I could go on an antidepressant. I was taken off another headache medicine because it wasn't working. And I started walking about 20 minutes a day at a quick pace. So maybe all of this combined is the reason why I feel pretty good tonight.

Dana has been having some diarrhea for the past two days. I finally put her on the BRAT diet and hopefully it will stop. I think she got too many fruits and veggies. Or something was in the camp water at Lakota. Yes, we went to Lakota for a Walawi reunion. It was nice to be there but what a chaotic event. And so not family friendly!

She's saying some new things: purple, tree (tee), and today she said oakie dokie. She also says "no more" and "good girl" which I might have written in another post but just wanted to make sure I said it. She loves having her "boo boos" kissed. And has started kissing us more too. Dana is a great kid and the fact that I've been looking for jobs and considering day care kills me. If these headaches go away, and the depression too, I can be here for her so much better. I really hope I continue to feel better.

The DNC is tonight. I really hope that Obama can pull this off. If McCain wins, I will feel pretty hopeless about this country. At least gas prices are going down. But life will Dana have? What life will all of our children have? Ugh... I'm thinking like David and I have to stop. Too many "local" things to think about. And dishes to do.
