Day #2

Here we are at day #2 of no breastfeeding. So far, so good. I have to say that this morning I wasn't feeling so great after crying so much last night but tonight, with Dana in bed, I'm doing ok. No tears. And David isn't even home. I talked to Traci which helped. I thought she had no issues when she stopped nursing Nathan. But today she told me it was "traumatic" and she cried a lot. She's the only one I know that has nursed to a year.

I had to go to Dr. Levine today for a 10 minutes appt. that could have happened over the phone. The driving took longer. Thankfully Tina came over to sit here while Dana napped. I guess I'll start the meds tonight. Haven't totally decided all that yet.

I had lunch with a new friend today. Her name is Melinda and we met at Tiny Town. She is so honest. It's about time I've found someone like me. Someone who can say that being a mother is a shitty job sometimes and you just have to complain every now and then. I'm really feeling angry at my friends who make everything sound perfect. I wish people could be more honest. Especially close friends. Anyway, I plan to keep Melinda on the list of "must-get-together-withs."

Well, David and Molly will be here tomorrow so that will be nice. I have to go do dishes, start some laundry and veg. Who knows when David will be home! At least there are no tears. From me or Dana tonight!
